Job summary

First Citizens Bank is seeking a senior Database Engineer to lead Oracle GoldenGate replication across Oracle, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, and IBM Db2 LUW. You will manage GoldenGate Microservices, configure Extract/Replicat processes, and ensure low-latency, secure data replication in a hybrid work environment spanning Raleigh, NJ, Dallas, and Phoenix.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree and 4 years of experience in Database Engineering OR High School Diploma or GED and 8 years of experience in Database Engineering.
• Prefered if you have:
• Experience administering and supporting Qlik Replicate (formerly Attunity Replicate) for enterprise Change Data Capture (CDC) and real-time data integration.
• Experience configuring and supporting Qlik Replicate across Oracle, PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server, Db2 LUW, Snowflake, Kafka, and cloud data platforms.
• Knowledge of Qlik Enterprise Manager for monitoring, alerting, task management, and operational support.
• Experience troubleshooting CDC latency, endpoint connectivity, DDL propagation, schema mapping, and data consistency issues within Qlik Replicate environments.

Responsibilities

• Configure, administer, maintain, and support Oracle GoldenGate replication environments across Oracle, PostgreSQL, MS SQL Server, and IBM Db2 LUW.
• Manage Oracle GoldenGate Microservices Architecture components including Service Manager and Distribution Server.
• Configure and support Extract/Replicat processes to ensure reliable, low-latency replication.
• Administer real-time replication across heterogeneous databases ensuring data consistency.
• Support replication topologies for high availability and disaster recovery.
• Monitor replication health, performance, and throughput; address lag and failures.
• Perform GoldenGate patching, upgrades, migrations, and lifecycle management.
• Configure Oracle GoldenGate Veridata for data validation and post-migration checks.
• Ensure replication environments meet security standards (encryption, TLS, auditing, PII protection).
• Support PCI, SOX, HIPAA, GLBA and other regulatory data workloads.
