Job summary

Guidehouse is seeking a Senior SQL Server & .NET API Developer to support a mission-critical federal application hosted in Microsoft Azure. The role focuses on SQL Server-based business logic, security, and RESTful API integrations.

The successful candidate will design and optimize database solutions, develop secure APIs, and collaborate with architects, analysts, and stakeholders to deliver modernization efforts across Azure-hosted services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Five (5)+ years of experience developing enterprise applications using Microsoft technologies.
• Expert-level experience with Microsoft SQL Server.
• Experience developing RESTful APIs using .NET and C#.
• Experience deploying and supporting applications in Microsoft Azure.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, maintain, and optimize SQL Server database solutions supporting mission-critical business processes.
• Create and modify complex stored procedures, views, functions, triggers, and other database objects.
• Implement database security controls including Row-Level Security (RLS) and data access controls.
• Analyze and tune SQL Server performance, query execution plans, indexing strategies, and workloads.
• Develop and maintain .NET Web APIs that provide secure access to data and services.
• Support Azure-hosted components including App Services and Functions.
• Implement Azure AD authentication and App Registrations.
• Collaborate with architects and stakeholders on enhancements and modernization.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, deployment, and production support.
