Job summary

Guidehouse is seeking a Database Administrator to lead and manage enterprise SQL Server and Azure-based database environments supporting NIH-related applications. You will design, tune, back up, migrate, and secure databases, collaborating with developers, cloud engineers, and DevSecOps teams to enable modernization and ensure high availability and compliance.

The role requires strong SQL skills across Azure SQL, SQL Server, Sybase, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and Oracle, with experience in automation,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
• 5+ years of DBA experience with emphasis on SQL Server, Oracle, or PostgreSQL.
• Experience with database security, backups, disaster recovery, and performance tuning.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage database administration activities across Azure SQL, SQL Server, and other platforms.
• Plan, install, configure, operate, and troubleshoot database systems.
• Maintain backups, perform restores, and ensure data integrity and security.
