Job summary

DPR Construction is seeking a qualified SPW field leadership professional to manage Self-Perform Work scope field crews, ensuring safety, quality, and productivity on diverse projects in the Boston area.

You will guide SPW teams and trade partners to proactively resolve constructability challenges, align field operations with project objectives, and deliver on schedule while maintaining client satisfaction and strong long-term relationships.

Qualifications

• 7 years of experience in SPW field engineering, construction management, or a related field.
• 1–2 years of experience in a managerial capacity preferred.
• OSHA 30‑Hour Construction certification preferred; completion within 6 months required.

Responsibilities

• Leads, manages, and develops a team of SPW field individuals to achieve exceptional performance and encourage talent development.
• Oversees all on-site SPW field activities, ensuring in-house crews execute work safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications and organizational standards.
• Manages coordination with SPW project managers, internal SPW crews, and suppliers to schedule resources, resolve complex issues, and maintain momentum for SPW scopes.
• Ensures compliance with safety policies, quality standards, and regulatory requirements specific to self‑perform operations, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement within SPW teams.
• Reviews and approves daily SPW field documentation, including progress reports, safety logs, and productivity records, to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
• Reviews and communicates project status, risks, and opportunities to SPW leadership and relevant stakeholders, proactively addressing concerns to support project success.
• Develops the comprehensive plan for completing the SPW scope in alignment with the scope budget and overall project schedule, utilizes advanced methods for crew flow, leveling, and efficient use of equipment and materials.

Education

Associate's degree in construction management

Bachelor's degree in construction management or engineering
