Job summary

Cisco is seeking a Senior Solutions Engineer to support the Splunk Manufacturing vertical. You will act as a trusted technical advisor, helping manufacturing customers harness data to drive digital transformation and resilience.

You will lead high-level discovery, design robust deployments, and deliver demos/POCs focused on security and full-stack observability. Domestic travel may be required; remote-friendly role.

Qualifications

Minimum 5–7 years in pre-sales, solutions architecture or technical consulting.
Understanding of modern security frameworks (SIEM, SOAR) and observability (APM, infra monitoring).
Ability to translate complex tech into business value for execs.
Experience with large-scale data platforms or log management.

Responsibilities

Act as the primary technical lead during the sales cycle with manufacturing clients.
Design and architect Splunk deployments across IT, cloud, and digital business systems.
Develop and deliver product demos and POC engagements showing real-time threat detection and observability.
Collaborate with Account Executives, Product Management and Professional Services.
Present at industry conferences on cyber resilience and observability.
Create reusable technical assets and demo environments for enterprise use cases.
