Job summary

Cisco is seeking a Senior Solutions Engineer for the Manufacturing sector to act as a trusted technical advisor, helping customers harness data for digital transformation and operational resilience.

You will lead technical discovery, architect deployments, and deliver live demos and POCs to showcase threat detection and observability. This role requires travel to customer sites and strong collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of experience in Pre-Sales Engineering, Solutions Architecture, or Technical Consulting.
• Understanding of modern security frameworks (SIEM, SOAR, threat detection) and/or observability principles (APM, infrastructure monitoring).
• Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business value for executive-level stakeholders.
• Experience with large-scale data platforms or log management solutions

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary technical lead during the sales cycle, conducting high-level discovery sessions for manufacturing clients.
• Design and architect Splunk deployments that aggregate data from IT and cloud environments for unified visibility.
• Develop and deliver product demonstrations and POC engagements showing real-time threat detection and full-stack observability.
• Collaborate with Account Execs, Product Management, and Professional Services to align capabilities with digital roadmaps.
• Present at industry conferences and internal forums on cyber resilience and data analytics in digital transformation.
• Create reusable technical assets, white papers, and demo environments for enterprise security use cases.
