Job summary

PACS seeks a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to evaluate patients within 24 hours of referral and develop approved treatment plans. The clinician will supervise CFY/SLP assistants, communicate with the supervising team, and contribute to multidisciplinary conferences.

Documentation of progress is required in accordance with state practice acts and payer requirements. The role involves patient-family instruction for discharge, caregiving training, and active participation in training

Qualifications

• Must hold a state license as a Speech Therapist.
• Progress toward continuing education per state practice.
• Ability to read and implement policy and procedure manuals.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients within 24 hours of referral or 1 business day.
• Develop and obtain approval for treatment plans from referring physician.
• Supervise CFY/SLP assistants in direct patient care and related activities.
• Record evaluations and daily/weekly notes per policy and state practice act.
• Conduct discharge planning and caregiver training for home programs.
