Job summary

PACS is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to evaluate and treat patients, coordinate with families and physicians, and maintain thorough documentation in medical records. The role includes supervising CFY/SLP assistants and training facility staff, with emphasis on adherence to state practice acts and payer requirements.

Successful candidates hold a master’s or doctoral degree in SLP, are licensed in the state, and can participate in discharge planning and interdepartmental conferences.

Qualifications

  • Master's or doctoral degree in SLP is required and licensure as an SLP in the state, or equivalent qualifying pathway.
  • Excellent documentation and data entry skills with familiarity of clinical records and payer requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate patients within 24 hours of referral and develop treatment plans.
  • Treat patients per physician plan and document progress regularly.
  • Supervise CFY/Speech-Language Pathologist Assistants in direct patient care.
  • Communicate patient progress with supervisor and health team members.
  • Participate in care conferences and staff training sessions.
