Job summary

Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Wesley Chapel is seeking a Senior Speech Language Pathologist to lead our SLP team. You will provide direct patient care, mentor colleagues, and guide our programs in communication and swallowing rehabilitation.

This role emphasizes compassionate leadership and collaboration within a national post-acute care leader. The successful candidate will hold current state licensure in Speech Therapy, CCC certification, and CPR/BLS or be prepared to obtain

Qualifications

• Current state licensure in Speech Therapy.
• CCC certification (ASHA) completed or in good standing.
• BLS/CPR certification required or to be obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Minimum of two years of speech language pathology experience.
• Active on Therapy Clinical Ladder or equivalent specialty certifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to patients and guide recovery in communication and swallowing.
• Assist with speech-language in-service education and student programs.
• Mentor and train new colleagues and other departments as needed.
• Delegate and supervise speech therapy assistants and technicians.
• Celebrate patient progress and outcomes.
