Job summary

Ohio Gratings, Inc. in Canton, OH seeks a Specialty Products Sales Engineer to combine sales acumen with engineering expertise.

Responsibilities include generating quotes, managing orders, negotiating sales, and performing value engineering on projects. Qualifications

• 4-year engineering degree preferred.
• Sales experience in the metals arena highly desirable.
• Experience with Structural Steel Drawings and Project Bid Cycle preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of estimating and sales experience preferred.
• Excellent customer service and relationship-building skills essential.
• Must be team-oriented, versatile, and capable of handling a high volume of estimates and quotes with accuracy.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Read, interpret, and review grating products on contract or erection drawings.
• Analyze specifications and identify project-specific requirements from bid documents.
• Collaborate with Project Management, Engineering, and Sales to develop optimal products.
• Calculate quantities and costs for projects, working with customers and internal teams on value engineering.
• Maintain tracking of all projects, bidders’ lists, and specialty projects.
• Coordinate project hand-offs with project managers.
• Handle order entry for all projects within the market segment.
• Maintain clean, organized work areas.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
