Job summary

Builders in Atlanta is seeking an experienced Specialty Claims Manager to lead claims across assigned programs, ensure quality and compliance throughout the lifecycle, and collaborate with MGAs, carriers, TPAs, and defense counsel. The role focuses on strategic leadership, analytics, and portfolio performance.

You will oversee complex matters, develop standards, and drive corrective actions with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in insurance, risk management or related field required.
• Progressive claims experience in specialty, commercial or MGA environments.
• Knowledge of coverage analysis, reserving and litigation management.
• Experience coordinating with MGAs, TPAs, brokers and defense counsel.

Responsibilities

• Oversee claims across Specialty programs from notice through resolution.
• Establish and maintain claims handling standards and controls.
• Review complex, high severity, litigated claims and reserves.
• Analyze coverage language, exclusions and endorsements for disputes.
• Ensure regulatory compliance in all claim activities.
• Lead litigation strategy with defense counsel and manage costs.
• Prepare claims performance reports and dashboards.
• Manage relationships with TPAs, adjusters, and vendors.
