Job summary

Kundlas Consulting Group LLC is seeking a Special Track Inspector to perform technical inspections of special track work and track materials for MTA/NYCT projects, ensuring compliance with drawings, specifications, and quality standards.

The role requires experience with railroad components, dimensional inspections, QA procedures, and familiarity with AREMA, ASTM, ASME, AWS, and related standards. Strong reporting and documentation skills are essential.

Qualifications

Five years of experience in special track inspections or QA roles.
Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and specifications.
Working knowledge of AWS and ASNT inspection techniques.
Knowledge of ferrous and non-ferrous castings and forgings.

Responsibilities

Inspect special track work manufactured to Authority drawings and specifications.
Verify precise dimensions, clearances, and quality requirements.
Inspect track materials, including nuts, bolts, washers, plates, shims, clips, spikes, and related components.
Review engineering drawings, specifications, and inspection documentation.
Identify and document nonconforming materials.
Prepare inspection reports and support material acceptance decisions.
