Job summary

Kundlas Consulting Group LLC is seeking a Special Track Inspector to perform technical inspections of track work and components for MTA/NYCT projects. You will verify dimensions, assess quality, and ensure compliance with drawings and specifications on critical rail facilities.

Preferred candidates have five+ years in track inspections and familiarity with AREMA, ASTM, ASME, AWS, and related standards, with strong reporting and documentation skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years in special track inspections or QA.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and specifications.
• Knowledge of AWS and ASNT inspection techniques.

Responsibilities

• Inspect special track work manufactured to Authority drawings and specifications.
• Verify precise dimensions, clearances, and quality requirements.
• Inspect track materials, including nuts, bolts, washers, steel fastener plates, shims, clips, screw spikes, and related components.
• Review engineering drawings, specifications, and inspection documentation.
• Identify and document nonconforming materials.
• Prepare inspection reports and support material acceptance decisions.
