Job summary

Kundlas Consulting Group LLC is seeking a Special Track Inspector to perform technical inspections of special track work for MTA/NYCT projects in the United States. You will verify dimensions, inspect components, and review drawings to ensure quality and conformance with specifications.

Applicants should have at least five years of experience in track inspections, plus knowledge of AWS/ASNT techniques and the ability to read engineering drawings.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of experience in special track inspections, quality assurance, or railroad/transit inspection and layout systems.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and specifications.
• Working knowledge of AWS and ASNT inspection techniques.
• Knowledge of ferrous and non-ferrous castings and forgings, when applicable.

Responsibilities

• Inspect special track work manufactured to Authority drawings and specifications.
• Verify precise dimensions, clearances, and quality requirements.
• Inspect track materials, including nuts, bolts, washers, steel fastener plates, shims, clips, screw spikes, and related components.
• Review engineering drawings, specifications, and inspection documentation.
• Identify and document nonconforming materials.
• Prepare inspection reports and support material acceptance decisions.
