Job summary

Kundlas Consulting Group LLC is seeking a Special Track Inspector to perform technical inspections of special track work and related materials for MTA/NYCT projects. The role requires experience with railroad and transit track components, dimensional inspections, QA procedures, and industry standards.

Minimum qualifications include 5+ years in related fields, ability to read drawings, and knowledge of AWS/ASNT inspection methods.

Qualifications

Five+ years in special track inspections, QA, or related railroad/transit inspection.
Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and specifications.
Working knowledge of AWS and ASNT inspection techniques.
Knowledge of ferrous and non-ferrous castings and forgings, when applicable.

Responsibilities

Inspect special track work manufactured to Authority drawings and specifications.
Verify dimensions, clearances, and quality requirements.
Inspect track materials including nuts, bolts, washers, steel fastener plates, shims, clips, spikes and related components.
Review engineering drawings, specifications, and inspection documentation.
Identify and document nonconforming materials.
Prepare inspection reports and support material acceptance decisions.
