Job summary

Blue Origin in the United States is seeking a senior engineer to support the New Glenn program, focusing on system integration, operational constraints, and launch readiness.

The role involves collaboration across design, test, software, and operations teams, ensuring safety and mission success through rigorous analysis and real-time support during tests and launches. You will contribute to CONOPS, architecture, and software integration for complex spaceflight missions.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of a B.S. degree in engineering (Mechanical, Aerospace, or related field) or another technical field.
  • 7+ years of proven experience in Aerospace or large scale system integration
  • Demonstrated understanding of system engineering principles and processes
  • Experience in at least one of the areas of analysis, design, or integrated testing
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-directed and capable of balancing several tasks at one time

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the launch vehicle, ground equipment, and personnel are readied for all phases of the New Glenn mission including build, test, pre-launch, boost, orbital operations landing, and recovery.
  • Serve as a technical point of contact for design, test, software, operations, and refurbishment artifacts.
  • Decompose the time-phased Sequence of Operations into operational constraints, alerts, and limits.
  • Ensure consistency, accuracy, and appropriate integration of operating requirements into procedures, scripts, and displays used during vehicle operations.
  • Provide real-time on console support for integrated tests, launch and recovery operations providing crucial troubleshooting support.
  • Assess, identify and support fixes to gaps or optimizations in system operational timeline
  • Understand how subsystem control software operates across flight and ground systems to ensure safety and mission success.
  • Provide operational feedback to subsystem designers and support operational analysis
