Job summary

Cimarron Inc. is seeking a Project Engineer to support NASA's CST-100 Starliner program at Kennedy Space Center in Florida.

The role involves providing engineering leadership to a cross-functional team, coordinating resources, and overseeing project execution across the life cycle. Responsibilities include leading technical teams, coordinating with customers and management for approvals, and guiding test planning, risk mitigation, and performance metrics.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of related project/system engineering experience.
  • Strong troubleshooting capabilities to document and resolve non-conformances on ground support equipment and flight hardware.
  • Experience reviewing test plans and reports.
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited program.

Responsibilities

  • Provide engineering leadership to a team representing multiple skill areas, including internal and external resources and customers.
  • Work with customers and management to obtain approval.
  • Lead project execution to complete the work statement.
  • Identify performance metrics.
  • Plan, identify, and coordinate resources required over the life of the project or program.
  • Define plans for risk mitigation and opportunity.
  • Compare actual results to the baseline plan to assess project performance, efficiencies, productivity, and lessons learned.
  • Provide technical and integration leadership for the development and execution of the project or team plans.
  • Support spacecraft test engineering efforts, troubleshooting, and optimizing system performance.
  • Work under minimal direction.
