Job summary

Cimarron Software Services, Inc. is seeking a Mechanical Project Engineer in Houston, TX to lead complex mechanical and structural subsystems for the first commercial space station.

This onsite role requires deep engineering expertise, project governance, and strong collaboration with cross-functional teams to meet stringent NASA and FAA standards. You will oversee design development, verification/validation, procurement, and risk mitigation while coordinating with vendors and internal

Qualifications

• U.S. citizens or permanent residents only.
• Willingness to work evenings and weekends as needed.
• 10+ years of relevant experience.
• Deep knowledge of structural integrity verification and mechanical system integration.
• Experience with NASA requirements and spaceflight hardware development preferred.

Responsibilities

• Define and manage project scope, resources, budgets, and product requirements.
• Deliver product designs and project milestones in line with lifecycle criteria.
• Negotiate vendor contracts and verify deliverables for compliance.
• Present technical status to executives and clients.
• Lead engineering teams through requirements, design, prototyping, procurement, verification, and delivery.
