Job summary

Cimarron Inc. in Houston, TX is seeking a Mechanical Project Engineer with deep knowledge in structural and mechanical engineering to lead complex technical projects from conception to completion onsite.

You will oversee the design and development of subsystems for the first commercial space station, manage cross-functional teams, and ensure compliance with NASA standards and FAA regulations. The role requires 10+ years of experience and proficiency with SOLIDWORKS, PDM, MS Project, and

Qualifications

• 10+ years of relevant experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or related field.
• Experience with NASA requirements and spaceflight hardware development.
• Ability to pass pre-employment background check and drug screening.
• Willingness to work evenings and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Define and manage project scope, resources, and budgets.
• Deliver product designs and milestones per lifecycle criteria.
• Lead cross-functional teams through requirements, design, prototyping, procurement, verification, and delivery.
• Present status updates and milestones to executive leadership and clients.
• Ensure compliance with NASA standards and FAA regulations.
• Plan and lead build, test, integration, and risk mitigation activities.
• Investigate root causes and resolve engineering anomalies.
