Job summary

Cimarron Inc. is seeking a System Engineer to support NASA's CST-100 Starliner program in Houston, TX. The role is onsite with potential work from our Florida location, focusing on model-based systems engineering (MBSE) using SysML and Cameo/NoMagic.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years MBSE experience, familiarity with UAF, and a bachelor's degree in a relevant field. This is a safety-sensitive position with strict security requirements and government clearances as applicable.

Job description

Position Introduction / Key Duties

Cimarron is seeking a System Engineer to support the Boeing's CST-100 Starliner spacecraft as a part of NASA's Commercial Crew Program. This position is 100% onsite located in Houston, TX, with the option to work onsite from our Florida location.

Key Duties
  • Design and maintain digital system models using SysML and other modeling languages such as CAMEO to represent complex systems.
  • Ensure system models are accurate, compliant with standards, and support engineering tasks such as analysis and decision-making.
  • Capture and maintain traceability of system requirements within the architecture model, linking to relevant design artifacts.
  • Integrate MBSE with digital engineering activities such as configuration management and system simulation.
  • Translate customer reference architecture models into internal architecture models.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of MBSE training, tools, and processes.
  • Mentor systems engineers in MBSE best practices and tool usage.

  • 5 or more years of experience developing MBSE system models using Cameo/NoMagic.
  • Experience with Systems Modeling Language (SysML) and Unified Architecture Framework (UAF).
  • Experience applying model-based approaches on engineering projects and integrating models into architecture and digital engineering platforms.
  • Bachelors degree in relevant field.
Desired Skills, Experience, And Education
  • Possession of an Object Management Group Certified Systems Modeling Professional – Model Builder Fundamental (OCSMP-MBF) certification.
  • Ability to provide technical and programmatic recommendations on the development, integration, and application of digital engineering and MBSE concepts.
