Job summary

CesiumAstro seeks a Senior Wire Harness Design Engineer to own key harness designs for space and aerospace systems. You will develop schematics, route cables, select connectors, and produce harness drawings while collaborating with electrical and mechanical engineers and technicians.

You will guide the full design lifecycle from initial specifications through integration and test, contributing expert recommendations to improve reliability and performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
• 5 years of relevant industry or university research experience.
• Proficiency with harness design tools such as RapidHarness.
• Strong understanding of wire routing, controlled impedance, shielding, and EMC.
• Experience with lab instruments like oscilloscopes and spectrum analyzers.
• Familiarity with IPC-WHMA-A-620 and ISO 9001 standards.
• Aerospace industry experience.

Responsibilities

• Take full ownership of wire harness designs, including schematic development and harness drawings.
• Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, and harness technicians to define specs.
• Participate in design reviews and provide technical recommendations.
• Ensure designs meet industry standards, safety regulations, and performance requirements.
• Oversee the full design process from specifications through integration and test.
