Job summary

Northrop Grumman’s Space Sector in Gilbert, AZ seeks an Engineering Technician Level 3 to join the Integration & Test team. You will assist engineers in mechanical/electromechanical design, fabrication, testing, and assembly of spacecraft components in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, proactive mindset, and the ability to troubleshoot independently to support mission success. Willingness to travel up to 25% may be required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent plus 4 years related experience as an Electrical or Manufacturing Technician.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Top-Secret security clearance.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio).
• Hands-on experience with aerospace equipment, harness build, and soldering.
• Knowledge of electrical measurements (AC/DC, resistance), voltage circuitry, and troubleshooting.
• Understanding of clean room operations and spacecraft handling protocols.
• Ability to lift and position objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including 2nd and 3rd shift, weekends, overtime.

Responsibilities

• Lead test configuration setups.
• Set up, troubleshoot, and repair EGSE, including test racks and desktop equipment.
• Assist in cable design and test configuration development.
• Navigate and execute test scripts in Maestro and AstroRT environments.
• Verify completion of testing events and associated documentation.
• Support critical/hazardous operations as needed.
