Job summary

Blue Origin is hiring an external loads analyst to help design and analyze the Transfer Stage spacecraft. The role covers loads development (static and dynamic), integration with other spacecraft, and supporting subsystems with loads environments.

This is a high-impact role contributing to humanity's return to the Moon. The position requires a BS in mechanical/aerospace/civil engineering with 6+ years of FE dynamics experience, and proficiency in spacecraft loads techniques.

Qualifications

  • Requires a BS degree in mechanical, aerospace or civil engineering.
  • 6+ years of experience in prediction/validation of structural dynamics and loads with FE modeling.
  • Strong foundation in static/dynamic fundamentals.
  • Passion for spacecraft loads development/validation.
  • Ability to solve static and dynamic problems using physics-based methods.
  • Experience with spacecraft loads development incl. Craig‑Bampton model reduction and coupled analyses.

Responsibilities

  • Finite Element Model development, refinement, validation, and correlation to tests.
  • Rigid and flexible body dynamics analysis.
  • Modeling, simulation, and verification of spacecraft launch, docking, and landing events.
  • Acceleration, shock, and vibration measurement and data interpretation from tests.
  • General loads development for spacecraft and related ground systems.
  • Support configuration development and trade studies.
