Job summary

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to lead the design, development, testing, and sustainment of non-embedded software supporting space systems, ground segments, command & control, mission planning, and real-time data processing environments.

You will architect high-performance APIs, develop intuitive UIs, optimize backend services, and guide teams through modern DevSecOps practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher; space systems experience preferred.
• 5+ years of software development for space systems and ground segments (C2, mission planning, data processing).
• 5+ years of development with Python.
• 3+ years with JavaScript (Angular, JQuery).
• 3+ years with TypeScript.

Responsibilities

• Lead API architecture and design for high‑performance APIs.
• Guide Agile DevSecOps practices and integration of components.
• Own full lifecycle from design to deployment.
