Job summary

Zachary Piper Solutions seeks a Senior Software Developer Lead to guide a small, high‑performing team focused on Mission Management and Mission Planning solutions. You will design, develop, test, and deliver Java‑based software enabling national security space missions, and shape system architecture and team performance.

The role is fully onsite in Chantilly, VA or Seal Beach, CA; candidates must hold an active TS/SCI with polygraph eligibility.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in computer science principles, OO design and software patterns.
• Hands-on experience with Java, C++, and/or Python in full-stack environments.
• Active TS/SCI with SCI eligibility and ability to pass CI polygraph.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning and execution of software development activities across the SDLC.
• Translate system-level requirements into software requirements, designs, code and tests.
• Collaborate with system engineering, product management and mission stakeholders.
