Job summary

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Senior Software Developer Lead to helm a small, high‑performing team focused on Mission Management and Mission Planning solutions. The role is fully onsite in Chantilly, VA or Seal Beach, CA, and requires an active TS/SCI with SCI eligibility.

You will guide the full software development lifecycle, influence system architecture, and ensure delivery of Java-based software supporting national security space missions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years applying Computer Science principles and OO design.
• Hands-on Java, C++, and/or Python in full-stack environments.
• Proven experience leading software development teams or projects.
• Active TS/SCI with SCI eligibility and CI Polygraph.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning and execution of software development activities including design, coding, and testing.
• Translate system requirements into software requirements, designs, and artifacts.
• Collaborate with system engineering, product management, and mission stakeholders.
• Conduct code reviews to ensure standards, security, and quality.
