Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Systems Engineer – Level 3 to join a scrum team focused on defining requirements, interfaces, and MBSE-driven design for Ground Segment Functions. You will drive software/engineering efforts across a mission-focused portfolio in an Agile environment.

You will integrate and test software segments, verify requirements, and deliver products to operations, leveraging Jira/Confluence and MBSE tooling. Strong communication and independence are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM with 5+ years of engineering experience or higher degrees with reduced experience as specified.
• Active U.S. Government Top Secret clearance (and ability to obtain/maintain SCI).
• Experience with MBSE methodology and tooling; No Magic Cameo or equivalent.
• Experience with space-vehicle, command-and-control, mission management, or software subsystems.
• Strong written and oral communication skills; ability to work independently in a dynamic environment.
• Experience with SW development processes and artifacts (use cases, interfaces, diagrams, REST/HTTP).
• Experience with Agile programs and methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Drive development and execution of features for satellite ground systems; read MBSE models.
• Participate in working groups; translate needs into digital artifacts for software implementation.
• Support/verifiy verification planning, test requirements, and other key products.
• Engage in sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews; align with product vision and goals.
• Provide SME in Space-Vehicle C2 system areas; collaborate with teams and leads.
• Conduct demos/briefings for customers and leadership; ensure system integration with ground software.
