Northrop Grumman in Redondo Beach, CA is seeking a Systems Engineer – Level 2 to join our Space Systems Sector. This role works with a scrum team to define product vision, backlog, and ensure features align with objectives.

You will leverage MBSE, Cameo, SysML, and Agile practices across ground segment functions, perform requirements, interfaces, and verification, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver mission-critical software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in STEM with 2+ years engineering experience required.
• Experience with MBSE and Cameo tooling.
• Experience with space-vehicle, command-and-control, or related domains.
• Demonstrated written and oral communication skills.
• Experience with Agile processes and SW development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Drive development and execution of features for satellite ground systems with MBSE models.
• Translate customer needs into digital artifacts for software implementation.
• Support verification planning, test requirements, and key products.
• Engage in sprint planning, stand-ups, and reviews.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align with product vision and mission goals.
• Conduct demos and briefings for customers and senior leadership.
• Ensure integration of capabilities with ground satellite software solutions.
