Job summary

Northrop Grumman Space Systems in Aurora, CO is seeking a Systems Engineer at Level 3 or 4 to own the system technical baseline and coordinate cross-discipline teams across CONOPS, requirements, design, and test.

The selected candidate will drive requirements development with customers and stakeholders, develop integration strategies, V&V plans, and detailed test plans while using MBSE artifacts to support design decisions.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field with 5+ years experience (Level 3) or 8+ years (Level 4).
Active Top Secret/SCI clearance required at time of application.
Experience with system requirements and ICDs.
Ability to perform requirements analysis, allocation and traceability.
Ability to specify/validate requirements for cloud build/deploy/rollback.
Ability to create clear technical documentation (requirements, interface specs, diagrams).
Familiarity with reading/creating MBSE models (CAMEO/DOORS/MBSE).

Responsibilities

Serve as the systems engineering focal point across program lifecycle.
Own the system baseline, ensuring CONOPS, requirements, design, and test alignment.
Coordinate cross-discipline teams to resolve issues and drive decisions.
Capture mission threads and operational constraints to inform designs.
Lead requirements development with customers and stakeholders.
Develop integration strategies, V&V plans, and detailed test procedures.
Use modeling/simulation and MBSE to support design decisions.
Identify risks and track mitigation plans; present results to leadership.
