Job summary

Anduril Industries in Chantilly, VA is seeking several System Engineers to join our Space Special Programs team. You will support the full life cycle of design, development, integration & test, and operations for spacecraft and related systems.

You will maintain requirements, manage risks and budgets, produce test plans and design review materials, and collaborate across disciplines to ensure mission success.

Qualifications

• B.S. in aerospace, mechanical, electrical, computer science or similar engineering or technical field.
• 2–8 years of professional experience in hardware-based product development.
• Ability to generate comprehensive block diagrams and decompose a system into its requirements.
• Familiarity with interfaces such as Ethernet, CAN, I2C, SPI, PCIe, MIPI CSI-2.
• Familiarity with MCU/CPU/FPGA devices and related technologies.
• Experience with budgeting and trade studies is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, integrate & test spacecraft and related systems.
• Maintain and manage requirements, risks, budgets, and trade studies.
• Interface with spacecraft disciplines to ensure system compliance with requirements.
• Generate documentation like test plans and design review materials.
• Communicate progress to customers and internal stakeholders.
• Work across the team to cover full lifecycle of space hardware design and operations.
• Contribute to mission design, and guide on-orbit operations over time.
• Participate in peer reviews and develop customer-facing documentation.
