Job summary

Rocket Lab in Littleton, CO seeks a Senior Software Engineer I – Customer Solutions to serve as the key interface between our space software customers and engineering teams. You will support the Business Development organization with deliverables for leadership, board, and investors.

You will help develop interactive demonstrations, generate proposals, and lead efforts to attract new business to Rocket Lab’s established products, while collaborating across teams to forecast demand and support

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or other technical discipline is required.
• 5+ years of professional experience in an engineering role within the aerospace industry is required.
• US citizenship is required due to program requirements.
• Proficiency in C++, Python or similar programming languages is expected.
• Experience developing software for autonomous vehicles operating in harsh environments (e.g., satellites) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Work with the engineering team to provide technical support to customers.
• Develop interactive product demonstrations of Rocket Lab’s space software products.
• Generate proposals for new business opportunities in collaboration with the business development and engineering teams.
• Lead efforts to attract new business to the company’s established products.
• Monitor business performance, forecast demand, and present to Finance and Executives.
• Collaborate with Communications and Business Development on marketing materials.
• Improve and standardize customer-facing product documentation.
• Stay current on satellite programs and market trends to support forecasting and roadmaps.
• Travel to conferences and customer locations to lead business development activities.
