Job summary

Rocket Lab is seeking a Senior Software Engineer I/II for its Digital Engineering team in Littleton, CO. You will design and build next-generation simulation and modeling tools supporting aerospace systems, including flight software and ground software capabilities, using .NET, Angular, and RESTful APIs.

The role spans requirements through deployment with a focus on scalable architectures and intuitive user interfaces.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
5+ years of experience in software development, with a focus on simulation, modeling, or aerospace systems.
Proficiency in C#/.NET and Angular (or similar frontend frameworks).
Strong understanding of relational databases (MySQL, SQL Server, SQLite).
Object-oriented programming principles and design patterns.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain simulation and modeling tools for aerospace systems.
Design and develop mission-level wargaming tools across space, air, and ground domains.
Develop applications using web technologies for Windows and Linux.
Apply UI/UX best practices to create intuitive interfaces for simulation tools.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze requirements and architectures.
Participate in design reviews and refine system requirements and specs.
Conduct code reviews to ensure coding standards and best practices.
Optimize software performance and scalability for large-scale simulations.
