Job summary

Sierra Space seeks a Program Manager II to lead a program with accountability for cost, schedule, and technical performance, ensuring alignment with contractual requirements and IPT goals.

You will develop plans, manage budgets, monitor performance, and drive actions across engineering, finance, supply chain, and operations. Mentorship and cross-functional collaboration are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree with related experience.
• 8+ years of related experience.
• Senior-level project management certifications preferred (e.g., PfMP).
• Knowledge of program management disciplines across domains.
• Ability to manage a program with limited oversight.
• Capability to manage budgets and meet schedules and objectives.
• Experience leading management reviews and interfacing with finance.
• Deep knowledge of KPI measurement and reporting.
• Ability to mentor junior managers and lead complex strategies.
• Experience with multiple program scopes (IPT/portfolio).

Responsibilities

• Lead a program and assume overall responsibility for cost, schedule, and technical performance.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive program plans, schedules, and budgets.
• Monitor program performance and implement corrective actions.
• Communicate program status, risks, and issues to stakeholders.
• Mentor junior managers and lead cross-functional teams.
