Job summary

AeroVironment, Inc. in Albuquerque, NM, is seeking a mid-career Program Manager to lead satellite electronics programs within Space Technologies. You will develop top-level program plans, manage scope, budget, risks, and customer communications to ensure successful deliverables.

You will coordinate with group leads, support proposal development, and apply PMI/PMBOK standards to guide execution while coordinating across teams in a fast-paced, high-visibility environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree and 5+ years of relevant aerospace or technical project/program management experience.
• Knowledge of PM practices per PMI, PMBOK, ANSI, and ISO standards.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with ability to communicate with customers at all levels.
• Ability to obtain a DoD security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Leads development of top-level plans for a program and coordinates with group leads to execute.
• Participates in proposal development and pre-award performance to budget.
• Establishes and integrates change management processes and decisions.
• Facilitates negotiations on major project parameters (cost, schedule, quality).
• Develops project plans using MS Project and defines deliverables to meet requirements.
• Identifies and manages risks, issues, and opportunities; reports status to leadership.
