Job summary

SpaceX in Hawthorne, CA is seeking a Sr. Mission Integration Engineer (Starshield) to lead system trades across launch vehicles, spacecraft and sensors, from proposals through flight and on-orbit activation.

You will coordinate interfaces, risk, and verification plans with customers and internal teams. The role requires a strong space engineering background, ability to work under pressure and travel up to 25%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in the aerospace/space industry.
• 5+ years of technical project management and system-level engineering experience.
• Experience with product design, development, integration and/or test.

Responsibilities

• Key technical leader in all development phases from proposal to test, flight and mission execution.
• Ensure contract deliverables are on-time and meet customer expectations with actionable criteria.
• Interface with customers at reviews to develop requirements, test plans and procedures.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to drive program success.
• Support all program phases from development to on-orbit commissioning and handoff.
