Northrop Grumman's Space Systems Sector is seeking an EMI/EMC Engineer - Level 6 to join our Specialty Engineering team in Dulles, VA. As an EMI/EMC Engineer you will perform EMI/EMC design, analysis, test, and compliance verification from component to system level throughout the product lifecycle.

Responsibilities include leading E3 activities, developing models for shielding and ESD, reviewing Control Plans and Test Procedures, and mentoring junior engineers. A Top Secret clearance is required.

Qualifications

Active U.S. Government Top Secret clearance at time of application.
Experience defining E3 requirements and flow-down for space systems.
Familiarity with MIL‑STD‑461, MIL‑STD‑464 and related aerospace EMC standards.
Experience working with cross-functional teams to develop EMI/EMC solutions.
Experience in EMI/EMC design, analysis, and testing.

Responsibilities

Lead E3 activities across the program life cycle from concept to delivery.
Define E3 compliance architecture for space vehicles, subsystems and components.
Prepare and review EMI/EMC documents including Plans and Procedures.
Develop analytical models to quantify the E3 environment for design verification.
Support EMI/EMC test planning and execution in a lab setting.
Mentor junior engineers and review technical artifacts.
Travel to assist in testing and reviews as needed.
