Job summary

Northrop Grumman in Dulles, VA is seeking an EMI/EMC Engineer – Level 2 to join our Space Systems team. You will perform EMI/EMC design, analysis, test, and verification across product lifecycles, from component to system level.

Qualifications include a STEM degree and 2+ years of related experience; willingness to obtain Top Secret clearance with SCI and polygraph. The role offers relocation assistance and opportunities to contribute to advanced aerospace programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or STEM field with 2+ years of related experience for Level 2; OR Master’s degree.
• Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years for Level 3; OR Master’s with 3+ years of related experience.
• Experience with EMI/EMC standards (MIL-STD-461, SMC-S-008, MIL-STD-464) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Understand, allocate, and verify EMI/EMC requirements across system levels.
• Prepare EMI/EMC documents including plans and test reports.
• Develop analytical models for E3 environment and shielding analysis.
• Support EMI/EMC test planning and execution in a lab setting.
• Troubleshoot EMI issues from board to system level and propose solutions.
