Job summary

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking an EMI/EMC Test Engineer at T3 level in Woodland Hills, CA. You will join a team that plans, sets up, and executes EMI/EMC tests across equipment and subsystems, applying MIL-STD-461/DO-160 standards and collaborating with engineers to ensure compliance.

This mid-to-senior role requires strong lab skills, the ability to work onsite, and willingness to extended weeks when programs demand it. U.S. citizenship and Secret clearance readiness are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Physics, or related STEM discipline with 8+ years of relevant experience; or Master’s degree with 6+ years.
• U.S. Citizenship is required and ability to obtain/maintain a Secret clearance.
• Hands-on experience with EMI/EMC test environments and hardware testing.

Responsibilities

• Plan, set up, and execute EMI/EMC tests at equipment and subsystem level in accordance with requirements.
• Configure test setups in EMI chambers, shielded rooms, and bench environments with safety and quality focus.
• Operate oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, RF preamplifiers, LISNs, transient generators, antennas, and other EMI test equipment.
• Analyze test data, document observations, and support root-cause analysis within a cross-functional team.
