Zuma Restaurant in Vail, Colorado, is seeking a Sous Chef to support the Executive Chef and Head Chef in all kitchen operations. You will lead food preparation, menu development, and staff supervision to ensure exceptional dining experiences for guests at our modern Izakaya-style venues.

Qualifications

• 2+ years Sous Chef experience or senior culinary position in high-volume setting.
• Culinary degree or equivalent formal training preferred.
• Must hold valid health and safety certification as required by local regulations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day kitchen operations to ensure quality and consistency.
• Train and mentor kitchen staff to maintain skill, productivity and morale.
• Supervise staff during service for smooth operations and timing of dishes.
• Manage inventory and oversee ordering/receiving of ingredients and products.
• Assist in scheduling and labor cost management to meet business demands.
• Collaborate with Executive/Head Chef on seasonal menus and events.
