Job summary

Russell Tobin is seeking a Professional Services Sourcing Specialist in New York, NY to lead and manage RFP, RFI, and RFQ processes, negotiate commercial terms, and develop strategic sourcing with internal partners. • Proven track record delivering cost savings or avoidance.
• Strong spend analysis, financial modeling, and reporting skills.
• Ability to influence purchasing decisions with internal stakeholders.
• Experience with Ariba, Fieldglass, Excel, PowerPoint, Tableau, Business Objects is a plus.

Our client, a Financial Services, is looking to hire a Professional Services Sourcing Specialist in New York, NY.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage RFP, RFI, and RFQ processes, including requirements development and supplier evaluation criteria.
• Negotiate commercial terms, pricing, and contracts with professional services suppliers.
• Analyze spend, pricing, market trends, and supplier data to identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Develop and implement cost reduction and cost avoidance strategies.
• Partner with internal stakeholders to understand business requirements and develop appropriate sourcing strategies.
• Manage sourcing pipelines, savings tracking, supplier optimization, and contract management.
• Review existing sourcing processes and identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency.
• Prepare and present sourcing strategies, savings opportunities, and recommendations to leadership.

Required Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in Professional Services Sourcing, Strategic Sourcing, or a related procurement function.
• Hands-on experience with SOW, contracts, T&M, and/or outsourced managed services.
• Strong experience managing RFP/RFI/RFQ processes and supplier negotiations.
• Demonstrated experience delivering cost savings and/or cost avoidance.
• Strong spend analysis, financial modeling, and reporting skills.
• Ability to partner effectively with internal stakeholders and influence purchasing decisions.
• Experience with Ariba, Fieldglass, Excel, PowerPoint, Tableau, Business Objects, or similar tools is a plus.
