Senior Sourcing Specialist (IT Services)

Location: Remote. Eligible candidates must reside in Maryland, Washington, DC, Virginia, or West Virginia.

Overview & Responsibilities

Join our client as a Senior Sourcing Associate, supporting a significant Procurement Transformation. This high‑impact role focuses on the end‑to‑end strategic sourcing and contract management for the organization’s high‑volume IT services spend, including IT Consulting, IT Professional Services, and Managed Services. You will be instrumental in achieving optimal value and managing vendor relationships for major strategic partners like AWS, Microsoft, and ServiceNow.

• Lead the full lifecycle of complex sourcing initiatives, from requirements gathering to contract award.
• Independently draft and execute all applicable RFx processes (RFIs, RFPs, RFQs).
• Lead robust pricing and contractual negotiations with strategic IT services suppliers.
• Draft and redline contracts, ensuring alignment with business, technical, and legal requirements, while acting as a liaison between the business owner, legal, and risk groups.
• Manage a variable workload of up to 10–13 procurement transactions simultaneously, requiring strong project and time‑management skills.
• Ensure all procurement processes and documentation are complete and accessible within the SAP Ariba system.
• Adhere to corporate purchasing policies and relevant Federal Government regulations.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years, but less than 11 years, of total experience in Strategic Sourcing, Procurement, and Purchasing.
• Specific experience in IT Services Procurement Categories (e.g., IT Consulting, IT Managed Services, Professional Services).
• Strong experience in private sector procurement/sourcing.
• Mandatory working knowledge of SAP Ariba (1+ year of experience is sufficient).
• Demonstrated ability to conduct independent RFx and contract negotiations.

Preferred Qualifications

• Hybrid experience with both federal and private sector procurement/sourcing.
• Knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR).
• Experience in the Health Insurance industry.
• Relevant certifications such as CPSM, PMP, or NCMA's CPCM.
• Experience managing contracts and anticipating renewals (Supplier Management).
