Job summary

Delmonico Steakhouse is seeking a Sommelier to manage all aspects of the wine program, including updating the wine list, promotions, and staff training. The role requires 2–3 years of fine-dining sommelier experience and desirable CMS/WSET certification.

You will collaborate with the Wine Director and GM on inventory, sales, and compliance with alcohol regulations. The ideal candidate will excel in guest inquiries about wine origins and vintages, stay informed on industry trends, and contribute

Qualifications

2-3 years sommelier experience in fine dining.
Wine certifications such as CMS or WSET are desirable.
Experience with Excel and Word is a plus.

Responsibilities

Maintain and update the wine list and pricing.
Design and implement wine promotions.
Train and educate service/bar staff; manage wine inventory costs.
Answer guest questions on origin, vintage, and style of wines.
Stay updated on wine industry trends and research developments.
Oversee wine sales, promotions, inventory, and controls with the Wine Director and GM.
Perform managerial duties during shifts and ensure responsible service of alcohol.
