Delano Miami Beach is seeking a skilled Sommelier to lead the wine program with elegance and expertise. You will guide guests through refined wine selections, educate staff, and collaborate with food and beverage teams to enhance dining experiences.

You will manage inventory, ensure optimal cellar conditions, and uphold brand standards while participating in tastings and staff training to elevate service quality.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in a sommelier or beverage leadership role.
• Extensive knowledge of wines, spirits, and service techniques.
• Experience with wine list development and wine pairing.
• Professionalism with high-profile guests and discretion.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all aspects of the wine program across dining areas.
• Maintain vast knowledge of varietals, regions, vintages, and producers.
• Train and develop the sommelier team and staff.
• Collaborate with culinary to design wine menus and pairings.
• Manage wine inventory, ordering, receiving, storing, and rotation.
• Ensure proper cellar storage, temperature, humidity and organization.
• Monitor guest feedback and continuously improve service.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and alcohol regulations.
• Drive engagement and promote the wine program through events and tastings.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisor.
