Job summary

Gen is seeking a Senior Solutions Engineer to lead technical solutioning for complex partner engagements, working with Sales, Partner Success, Product and Engineering to translate needs into practical solutions.

You will drive discovery, design and demonstrations, mentor peers, and help accelerate adoption of Gen's embedded marketplace infrastructure while representing the Engine’s capabilities to partners and internal teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in sales engineering, solutions architecture, solutions engineering, technical account management or a similar role.
• Track record leading complex partner or customer engagements with evolving requirements.
• Experience shaping solution approaches for new verticals or emerging use cases.
• Experience mentoring peers or sharing practices to improve pre-sales work.
• Ability to travel regularly for in-person partner visits.
• Proficiency translating technical concepts for technical and executive audiences.
• Experience contributing to scoping frameworks, playbooks or engagement models.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with senior stakeholders.
• Sound judgment on involving technical resources to resolve blockers.
• Detail-oriented problem solver with comfort in ambiguity and cross-team collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical solutioning for complex partner engagements, coordinating with internal teams and following through on agreed commitments.
• Contribute to solution narratives and architectural approaches for new verticals and emerging use cases, adapting established patterns.
• Help improve scoping practices, engagement models, templates and other reusable materials in partnership with the Solutions Engineering team.
• Travel with Sales and Partner Solutions for important prospect and partner meetings, bringing hands-on technical expertise.
• Lead discovery and solution design for strategic opportunities, balancing priorities across engagements.
• Design and demonstrate complex solutions, tailoring discussions to partner needs beyond standard product walkthroughs.
• Share technical and consultative best practices with Solutions Engineering peers and maintain high partner communication standards.
• Create and maintain internal and external documentation, including implementation guidance and best-practice materials.
• Capture partner feedback and communicate its context to Product for roadmap discussions.
• Build alignment among partners, Sales, Partner Solutions and Product on direction for complex engagements; raise tradeoffs and risks.
• Represent engineering capabilities with partners and internal stakeholders; participate in industry events as appropriate.
• Identify expansion opportunities and delivery risks across engagements; advise where SE support can have greatest impact.
