Job summary

Snowflake is seeking a Senior Solutions Engineer for Observe to act as the primary technical resource for the Sales team, responsible for driving the technical closure of opportunities by demonstrating the value of Observe to prospective customers.

The role requires deep observability expertise, strong presentation skills, and a customer-focused approach, with travel to client sites and industry events as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of experience as a Sales Engineer or Solutions Architect in the software industry.
• Deep technical understanding of observability concepts (metrics, logging, tracing) and tools (Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, Grafana, ELK Stack).
• Familiarity with cloud-native technologies (Kubernetes, Docker, Microservices) and major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Technical Discovery and Presentation: conduct in-depth technical discovery sessions and deliver product demonstrations.
• POCs: design, scope, and manage technical evaluations and proofs of concepts.
• Sales Team Support: partner with Account Executives to develop and execute technical sales strategies.
• Feedback and Product Collaboration: relay customer feedback to Product Management and Engineering teams.
• Content and Training: develop technical sales collateral and deliver training to the Sales organization.
• Travel: ability to travel to client sites and events.
