Job summary

IBM Global Sales is seeking a seasoned Solutions Engineer to drive early-stage evaluation and ongoing value realization for customers. You will partner with Account Executives, surface business needs, and craft technical designs to meet complex requirements while promoting adoption of Confluent’s technology.

You will work with product and engineering teams, lead technical talks, and guide customers through deployment maturity. Strong communication to executives and engineers is essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Solutions Engineering or similar.
• Experience with event-driven architecture and data technologies.
• Hands-on cloud architecture, migrations, deployment and app development.
• Automation, GitOps and Kubernetes experience.
• Proficiency in Java, Python or SQL.
• Cloud Developer/Architect or Data Engineering certifications preferred.
• Strong communication and presentation skills for diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Advance data streaming use-cases from concept to go-live.
• Lead technical proofs of concept with customers.
• Conduct discovery and whiteboard sessions to define use-cases.
• Deliver technical talks and workshops to share knowledge.
• Guide customers to improve deployment maturity with best practices.
• Analyze consumption trends to identify optimization opportunities.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering as a customer advocate.
• Build relationships with key customer stakeholders.
