Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a Solutions Engineer to own the technical aspect of the sales cycle and build deep customer trust. Reporting to the VP of Solutions Engineering, this role blends deep technical work with executive influence to translate the platform vision into tangible outcomes.

You will lead technical demonstrations, proofs of value, deep dives, and workshops, collaborating with security and engineering teams to ensure a smooth customer experience across a remote environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Sales Engineering, Solutions Architecture, or similar pre-sales roles.
• Strong knowledge of AI, SaaS Security, or SSPM.
• Familiarity with data governance, and enterprise SaaS ecosystems.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, comfortable with both execs & engineers.
• Startup DNA: proactive, adaptable, customer-obsessed, and collaborative.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a remote environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical aspect throughout the sales process.
• Communicate with clients to understand needs and explain how Socket.dev can solve their business challenges.
• Deliver technical demonstrations, proofs of value, deep dives, workshops, etc.
• Influence future decisions and collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless customer experience with Socket.dev's product
• Assist customers in integrating Socket.dev's solutions into their security stack.
• Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in cybersecurity, SaaS, and AI security.
• Participate in conferences, keynote and evangelize Socket.dev to the market
