Job summary

Okta in Minnesota is seeking a Senior Solutions Engineer to join our strategic accounts team. You will serve as the trusted technical advisor to our largest enterprise customers, guiding pre-sales engagements and tying technical features to business outcomes.

You will collaborate with Enterprise Account Executives to address risk, cost, and operational efficiency, demonstrating Okta’s identity platform capabilities across complex environments and driving value-based decisions in large-scale

Qualifications

• 8+ years in a customer-facing pre-sales role (Sales Engineer, Solutions Consultant, Pre-Sales Engineer) with quota attainment.
• Strong executive communication, presentation, and storytelling abilities.
• Experience selling to large, complex strategic accounts.
• Background in Identity Security and cybersecurity concepts.

Responsibilities

• Master the Discovery Process: uncover customer pain points and map Okta capabilities to business value.
• Navigate complex organizations: communicate with CISOs, IT security leaders, and enterprise architects.
• Differentiate and win: articulate Okta's differentiators and regulatory compliance.
• Pioneer AI Visibility & Control: guide customers on AI agent risk and centralized identity control.
• Drive Value-Based Outcomes: lead technical evaluations and tie capabilities to breach protection and resilience.
• Be a Trusted Advisor: build relationships as an identity security subject matter expert.
