Job summary
Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Lead Solutions Design Engineer to support our Supply Chain Solutions and Dedicated Transportation offerings by designing, validating, and delivering logistics solutions that create customer value.
You will lead pursuit teams, develop feasible designs aligned with customer needs, and ensure a smooth startup transition with Operations and SCE CI resources. Strong analytical and communication skills are essential for success.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain Management or Industrial Engineering.
- 6+ years in Transportation and warehousing industries is required.
- Strong skills in data analysis, modeling, and design of logistics networks.
- Experience with design tools and simulation software is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Support bid submissions by reviewing objectives and developing initial hypotheses for solutions.
- Develop cost and pricing models in collaboration with Pricing and other functions.
- Lead design processes to create or optimize logistics networks.
- Mentor a small team of SD Engineers and communicate designs to stakeholders.
