Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Lead Solutions Design Engineer to support the growth of our Supply Chain Solutions by designing and winning new business through feasible, value-focused designs and compelling proposals.

You will lead a pursuit from start to finish, mentor a small team, and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to optimize transportation and warehousing networks while ensuring smooth startup transitions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain Management or Industrial Engineering
• Six (6) years or more in the Transportation industry
• Six (6) years or more in Warehousing and/or Manufacturing
• Advanced knowledge of Tableau and data visualization
• Proven ability to design and optimize logistics networks

Responsibilities

• Lead pursuit from start to finish and support the bid response team
• Design solutions that deliver financial value for customers
• Develop cost and pricing models and participate in pricing alignments
• Mentor a small team of SD Engineers
• Communicate designs to internal stakeholders and customers
